Kings vs. Oilers
What a great game. Edmonton scored 3 goals in the first period, and just when it looked like it was going to get depressing LA came back and scored 4 goals in the second. Plus we scored center ice lower level seats between periods. Yeah.
Sewing
I took a sewing class tonight. The final product was a tote bag. I realized I don’t really like the “demonstrate – try and repeat” lesson style. I think I learn better when I am doing simultaneously.
ATM machines
I saw to “world’s mosts” last Sunday. Both were ATMs. The worlds smallest and least private, respectively.
With the small one you had to print out a receipt which you then took to the cashier to get your cash.

I was pretty impressed with myself that I managed to catch it. It all happened at the intersection of melrose and la brea.
That happened…
I have no idea how this ocurred. The direction the van hit the tree appears to be perpendicular to the direction of the street. But, apparently they worked things out somehow.
Blu cafe
I went to eat at the newly opened cafe across the street from my loft today. When I placed my order and the waitress had no idea what “over hard” meant – in reference to eggs – I saw the red flag.
Shortly after that, from my seat at the counter, I saw her mess up another order, drop a hamburger bun on the floor from an order, get yelled at by the kitchen, and start crying.
What kind of idiot hires a totally inexperienced waitress for the opening week of a bar? That really does no one any favors.
And I also must say that I hate any place that uses a ‘u’ for a long ‘o’ sound in its name.
But the food looks good.
Plastic wrap on the highway…
I was driving east on the 10, on my way downtown from Santa monica when I heard a loud noise followed by a flapping noise – somehow a piece of cling wrap had draped itself on my antenna and was held on by the 70 mph wind like a flag. It stayed there until I arrived and parked at my apartment.

Is it my imagination or did gmail become blue today (from green)? The fact that I am not 100% certain is a bit worrisome.
I heard that google stock traded at the lowest level in three years today. Perhaps this is how they feel they are going to turn things around. I like it when you see something very simple but know that enormous amounts of time and money went into deciding on that particular simplicity.
